Collings Cares Christmas

Annual Collings Cares Christmas was December 7th!

Teen Center and school district provided meals and gifts for West Sacramento families.

West Sacramento, Calif. – Every year the staff at the Collings Teen Center puts on a special Christmas party for the community. This year’s celebration included a full holiday meal for over 400 people, as well as new gifts and gift cards for over 300 children, a photo with Santa, face painting and other activities. Thanks to Clark-Pacific and their employees, 146 bicycles were given away at this year’s event!

The Collings Teen Center partners directly with the Washington Unified School District to personally invite middle schoolers who are economically challenged. The student brings his/her entire family to celebrate the community festivities together. Broderick Roadhouse once again provided a special turkey/ham holiday dinner for the occasion. Other sponsors include Raley’s, the West Sacramento Police Department, the River Cats, Ramco, Exclusive Realty, the Centennial Rotary, WalMart, Grocery Outlet, and Nugget.

The Collings Teen Center is a non-profit organization committed to investing in the lives of at-risk young people in the West Sacramento community on a daily basis. Local youth are involved in after-school programs, pairing students with adult mentors, free meals each afternoon, camps and activities, and most importantly – a safe environment.
